Is it just me or did Valentines Day sneak up quickly this year? Scratch that, every holiday has so far. If V-day snuck up too quickly for you to even have a moment to think about the who, what, where, and wear of the day…. let me help put the “wear” question to ease.
You may be asking.. Rylee, you are perpetually single what would you know about Valentines Day? Instead of the typical “no comment” response made by most… my PR team (made up of 1 person- me) decided to give a true answer.
Valentines Day is not designated for those who only have their status as “in a relationship” on Facebook, it is for everyone. If you love anyone, if you love the idea of love, if someone loves you- even in a non romantic sense- you are able to and should celebrate Valentines Day. This is why we also celebrate days like Galentine’s Day because we can platonically love our friends and celebrate that.
As for a personal reason to celebrate Valentines day…I love the colors red and pink, in fact they are some of my favorites. I may not be celebrating my love for a significant other this year, but one thing is for sure, my love for fashion cannot be contained to one day. If it must be defined to one day, February 14th to be exact, I will be showcasing that love of fashion tenfold.
Now let’s talking about what to wear…
The main colors to look at when choosing a Valentines Day outfit are red & pink. With the traditional accent colors being white and black.
